HealthInfoNet Board of Directors Names Shaun Alfreds as CEO
Alfreds served as Acting CEO since November 2017
Portland, ME – May 24, 2018. HealthInfoNet’s Board of Directors has announced Shaun Alfreds as the permanent Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. This announcement comes after a unanimous vote took place at the May 16 Board meeting. Shaun has served as the Acting CEO since November of 2017.
“Over the past 6 months Shaun implemented significant changes at the organization and has a solid plan to bring growth and innovation to HealthInfoNet.” said Nona Boyink who serves as HealthInfoNet’s Board Chair. “The Board is excited to work with Shaun and the team to develop a 3-Year Strategic Plan that aims to improve the technical infrastructure, build programmatic capacity and quality improvement while keeping a keen eye to new business development opportunities that will help the organization continue to be a national leader in the Health IT space.”
Shaun has been with HealthInfoNet since 2010, serving as Chief Operating Officer until CEO Dev Culver’s retirement in November. Shaun has vast operational HIE and development experience in the areas of information technology operations, contract negotiation, public sector innovation, and finance along with over 15 years of industry experience.
